Valve rubber, also known as "valve diaphragm," is an elastic sealing element made from highly wear-resistant polyurethane (PU). It is installed between the valve body and valve seat of fracturing pumps, mud pumps, and cementing trucks, serving as a one-way valve seal. Its service life directly determines the number of consecutive fracturing stages and the efficiency of the operation.

As a wear-prone component operating under high-pressure and high-abrasion conditions, its core function is to achieve dynamic sealing between the valve seat and the valve body during the pump’s reciprocating motion, effectively preventing leakage of high-pressure fluids and withstanding the intense erosion caused by abrasive particles in the medium. This product is primarily used in critical operational stages—including drilling, cementing, fracturing, and acidizing—in onshore and offshore oil and gas fields as well as shale gas extraction.

Its exceptional performance stems from its unique materials science. It boasts extremely high wear resistance, resistance to high pressure, a broad temperature tolerance range, and outstanding tear resistance. At the same time, it exhibits excellent chemical stability against various fracturing fluids and drilling fluids—whether water-based or oil-based—including acidic media containing hydrogen sulfide—far surpassing that of conventional materials.

Performance characteristics

High-tensile tear resistance: Extremely high tensile strength (≥45 MPa) and tear resistance (≥130 kN/m), making it resistant to fracture and deformation even under high-pressure and high-impact conditions.

High-elasticity shock absorption: Excellent flexibility and high elasticity, with a rebound rate ≥60% and residual deformation of less than 5% after 30,000 valve cycles, enabling the rubber to maintain consistently good sealing compliance during reciprocating motion and effectively providing shock absorption and cushioning.

Extremely wear-resistant: The Akron abrasion is ≤0.03 cm³, which is 6 times that of nitrile rubber. This allows the material to easily withstand the erosive wear caused by solid particles in the medium, thereby greatly extending its service life.

Oil-resistant and corrosion-resistant: It exhibits excellent hydrolytic stability, good oil resistance and solvent resistance, and is capable of resisting corrosion from acidic gases.

Wide temperature range adaptation: The product maintains elasticity from -40℃ to 135℃ and can withstand even higher temperatures for short periods, meeting application requirements ranging from cold regions to high-temperature industrial environments.

Terms of Use

Temperature range It maintains stable performance over a wide temperature range from -25℃ to 120℃. Whether subjected to the extreme cold of surface equipment or the high-temperature conditions of downhole operations, it consistently exhibits excellent elasticity and mechanical strength, ensuring the continuity and safety of critical processes such as drilling and fracturing.
Working medium The oilfield contains diverse fluid media, including fracturing fluids, formation water, and media containing a certain concentration of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S).
Pressure and Speed The product is specifically designed for extreme operating conditions involving high pressure and high stroke rates, easily handling ultra-high-pressure challenges of up to 140 MPa and accommodating the equipment’s high-frequency reciprocating motion.
Installation and Operating Conditions To ensure optimal performance, we recommend installing the product on a smooth, undamaged valve seat sealing surface and following the correct installation procedure. The product’s outstanding performance is built upon precise alignment with actual operating conditions.

Storage and transportation

① Storage temperature: The air temperature inside the warehouse should not exceed 35℃, and humidity should be kept as low as possible. Store in a cool place, avoiding direct sunlight.

② Storage environment: The warehouse should be well-ventilated, dry, clean, and leak-proof.

③ Stacking method: Items should be placed on pallets raised at least 30 cm above the ground and kept at least 50 cm away from walls. The recommended stacking height is 4–6 layers, with aisles left between stacks.

④ Transportation protection: The tarpaulin must be securely covered to prevent exposure to sunlight and soaking from rainwater. Sudden stops, sharp turns, and bumpy roads should be avoided.
